CJHS Receives OEP Award!

CLARKSVILLE JUNIOR HIGH has been awarded an OEP “Beating the Odds” award for performance on the Overall exam. These awards are given to high-achieving schools that serve low-income communities where at least 66% of students are enrolled in the free/reduced lunch program. Based on the results of the 2014-15 PARCC assessments, performance is measured by the OEP-created “school GPA.”

New Immunization Requirements

If your child has turned 16 years of age there is a new vaccine required for him/her to attend public school. Your child must have one meningococcal vaccine given after his/her 16th birthday. Also, if your child has not had two varicella (chicken pox) vaccines, a second vaccine will be given at the same time. Any questions may be directed to Kathleen Bowen, RN, Junior High School Nurse. You may reach her by phone at (479)705-3227 or by e-mail at
